Questions about this pattern
Why is the hem cast on wider than the body?
Cables pull in by about 8 per cent, so the band is cast on wider and decreased away at its top — worked out and drawn for every size.
Won't the rolled edges roll unevenly?
The outer stitches are worked as a firm slipped selvedge from cast-on to shoulder, so the roll is even and the fronts stay put.
Is the cable difficult?
It is a simple four-stitch rope that crosses on the same row every time — suitable for an advanced beginner.
